About
At Drone Building Camps, DBC, we strive to share our passion for drones. Our hands-on, experiential, STEM-oriented programs encourage participant’s natural curiosity and creativity. Through engaging, interactive activities, including flight lessons and electronic assemblies, participants will leave with smiles on their faces and a wide range of valuable new skills and knowledge.

Skills that we teach
Electronic Assembly + Repair
Electronic assembly is fundamental in understanding the physical electronics hidden inside a drone, and how they enable flight. In our programs, participants learn how to use various tools including soldering irons, to combine electronic components and administer repairs in the case of a crash. Participants will also be given their own repair kit to use their repair skills at home.
Configuration/Programming
In order to perfect each drone’s flight characteristics, and tailor settings to participants' liking, participants will learn how to configure/program their drones. This step will give participants control over everything from their drone's flight attitude, to the function of their remote controller's various switches.
Controlled Flight
We pride ourselves in teaching participants the ins and outs of drone flying, from learning to hover, to mastering aerial acrobatics. Throughout our camps, participants will practice their flight skills with realistic drone simulators and real life obstacle courses, all while receiving 1-on-1 assistance from our instructors. Participants will also receive a flight skills checklist, to track their way to mastery.
Drone Laws & FAA Regulations
Although flying drones is an exciting activity, ensuring safety is imperative for positive flight experiences. In our camps, participants will learn the local, and national FAA laws and regulations surrounding drones. Participants will also be given reference cards with best practices for safe flying.
